Last week, we covered some tips on how to work from home. Advice, however, doesn’t amount to much without a strong supporting cast. Today, we’re shedding light on 10 unsung heroes of the apocalypse. Without the help of these trusty pets, their humans likely wouldn’t have gotten the job done. These 10 pets selflessly devote themselves to assisting their humans in working from home.
Let’s take a look at hero number one.
1. MacBook Tabby
Changing America writer Anagha Srikanth was having trouble completing stories during the 2020 crisis. Just when all hope was lost, her hero cat began ghostwriting. Thank you, MacBook Tabby. Because of you, we will change America.

2. Zeppole the Corgi
Quarantine isn’t for everyone. Despite our current circumstances, Zeppy sets a good example for his humans by getting up each morning and dressing for a professional setting. Dealing with people isn’t always easy, though. Sometimes you just need a little vino.
3. Chip
Computers are like eggs. If you don’t keep them warm, they won’t hatch. What would this Ph.D. student at NYU even do if his dog Chip wasn’t here to keep his laptop warm during this crisis? Chip, you are doing the lord’s work. Keep it up.

4. George
One might assume social distancing equals more pets. Yeah, that’s what George thought, too. When she realized she wasn’t getting enough TLC, she took matters into her own hands with a new screensaver for her human. “Try forgetting about me now, Kate.”

5. Assistant Reporter Tangtang
Even before quarantine officially started, Tangtang knew her human, CREW Research Director Robert Maguire, was taking things too seriously. During an interview, she decided to lighten the mood a bit. What we really want to know is, why couldn’t you just toss the ball, Robert?

6. Overworked Chihuahua
It was clear his human wasn’t prepared for the work from home transition. So he bravely took matters into his own hands and prepped the kitchen table for optimal work conditions. Forget what his human says, we know he’s doing all the work. I admire your courage, Overworked Chihuahua.

7. “Feed Me” Cat
This hardworking house cat did whatever it took to ensure his human properly fed all newly relocated staff (including himself). If you know anything about productivity, you know how important it is to get your daily fiber. #FeedMeCat2020

8. Rūkas the Dog
Rūkas’ human looks uncomfortable AF in his new home office. Not one to stand idly by as others suffer in pain, Rūkas came to his aid with a much-needed shoulder massage. Was it during a Zoom call? Probably. Does it matter? Not really.
9. Pinto Bean
The pandemic is especially affecting our filing systems. So much so that Pinto Bean’s owner was forced to convert back to home paper filing. Without hesitation, we dove right in and handled this filing nightmare so his human didn’t have to. Pets help humans work from home and don’t tell us otherwise.

10. Rex the TV Terrier
Rex caught his human snoozing on the job with a little late afternoon Homeland and chill. His stern look is all his owner needed to get back on the horse and crank out some quarantine content. Thank you, Rex. Your efforts are not in vain.
