Valentine’s Day Dinner Options For Both Couples And Singles

Don’t get in trouble with your better half because you waited until the last minute to reserve a table on Valentine’s Day. Check out what some of the local hot spots are offering for Valentine's Day dinner next Friday. And to any single ladies and gentleman–don’t worry, we haven’t excluded you!


Anthony David’s

Chef Anthony Pino and Chef De Cuisine Justin Antiorio will have their three-course dinner illuminated by candle light for diners. You can reserve a slot for the $75 dinner anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Bin 14 Hoboken’s Only Wine Bar

Hoboken’s only wine bar will also offer a three-course dinner created by the chefs from Anthony David’s. In addition, wine and specialty drinks will be made just for this romantic holiday. Time slots for the $65 meal are 6 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Orale Mexican Kitchen

Keeping with the three-course theme, Orale will have a pre-fixe menu which includes a specialty drink. There will also be an a la carte menu. But no worries if you don’t have a date for Valentine’s — there will be an open bar package for singles!

The Orange Squirrel Restaurant

Get your fill of aphrodisiac foods through Chef Francesco Palmieri’s pre-fixe dinner. And if you decide to buy a bottle of bubbly, you’ll get 40% off all large bottles.

Seating times vary depending on how many courses you’d like:

6 pm – 3-course $65/pp

7:30 pm – 4 courses $80/pp

9:30 pm – 5 courses  $85/pp

Cafe Matisse

Valentine’s Day is a week-long event at Cafe Matisse. You’ll get to try out a tasting menu with the option of three, four, or five course meal for $68, $88, and $108 per person, respectively.

Pilsener Haus

The “Anti-Valentine’s” celebration at Pilsener is the place to go for singles. The festivities kick off at 7 p.m. with beer, food and a DJ. Spend all the money you would have on a date on their famous chocolate crepes and sundaes. And to help you meet your date for next year, Pilsener’s staff will give each guest half of a playing card at the door, encouraging you to find someone with the matching half and get a free beer!
