Where to Buy Modern Flower Arrangements in Hoboken, Jersey City + More

Flower Arrangements in Hoboken

Somewhere, somehow, someone shook up the floral world. Maybe we have shows like “The Big Flower Flight” on Netflix to thank for that, or Instagram for endless amounts of botanical #inspo. Nowadays, you buy a dozen red roses from a big-name retailer and you run the risk of being called basic. Just point me in the direction of the nearest artfully arranged bouquet, please. Thankfully, that doesn’t mean searching far and wide if you’re in Hudson County. There are local stores where you can shop for modern flower arrangements in Hoboken, Jersey City and Weehawken.

From rustic-style blooms and seasonal foliage to minimal designs and straight-up stunning installations, New Jersey’s floral scene has got some flair. I know, I’m just as surprised as you are. These five flower shops have definitely caught my attention. And after reading this, hopefully, yours too. It’s time to take a look at where you can buy modern flower arrangements in Hoboken, Jersey City and more.

1. Bloomie Flower Studio – Hoboken, NJ

When Bloomie owner Ina Gumeniuc entered the floral design industry, she knew that better blooms were on the horizon. Her creative, ethical flower arrangements quickly caught the eye of friends and by the end of 2019, she had to expand her online website and home office to a brick-and-mortar store right here in Hoboken. Since its opening in early 2020, the team at Bloomie specializes in bringing handcrafted, artisan bouquets to the Hoboken, Jersey City and even the New York City area. (Plus, they offer same-day delivery.)

To maintain safety during COVID-19, walk-ins are currently not allowed but you can get your bloomies via contactless delivery, curbside pickup or nationwide shipping.

2. Casa Mona – Jersey City, NJ

I first become familiar with Casa Mona through their artful displays around Jersey City, popping up at Frankie, Lil’ Dove, Vivi Girl Shop and the newly opened Darke Pines Downtowner. Their modern flower arrangements are so thoughtful and so beautiful to look at that you’ll want them in your home ASAP. Owners Carlos Rivas and Antonio Vieira not only sell creative bouquets at their shop, goers can also find luxury home decor and gifts.

3. Touch the Heart – Hoboken, NJ

If you planned on only getting dim sum at this restaurant, you’re in for a surprise. Touch the Heart just became the newest (and most unexpected?) place to buy modern flower arrangements in Hoboken. Aside from amazing eats, goers can find fresh handpicked bouquets every week along with handwritten notes, potted plants and overall romantic vibes. They’re also able to accommodate any occasion you may be celebrating, just give them advanced notice via DM.

4. Soho Flower & Garden – Hoboken, NJ

The folks at Soho Flower & Garden not only specialize in floral arrangements, but also botanical design. Which is why everything that comes out of their store is absolutely stunning. Their simple, minimalist creations result in the prettiest bouquets that are both vivid and attention-grabbing. If you’re in the market for one-of-a-kind houseplants, they have those too.

5. About Designs LLC – Weehawken, NJ

Although there’s no store to physically step into, About Designs has an online shop where you can buy awesome arrangements and have them delivered directly to your door. You’re in luck if you live in Weehawken, Hoboken, Union City, Jersey City or West New York. Flower-lovers can join their subscription service and get blooms delivered weekly. Or if you’ve got a special occasion coming up, they’ve got that covered too from weddings to parties. Two sisters, Eva & Sonya, are at the helm here and together, their designs are full of color and can even incorporate antiques, recycled elements and heirlooms.

These are great florists to know about but you seemed to have just researched the recently opened establishments, it seems a great oversight not to have mentioned Botanical Design and Christine Andersen both in the Monroe Center, they have been making creative unique designs for years and have been the benchmark for exceptional arrangements as long as I’ve been in Hoboken. It’s a shame not to have realized that and mentioned them. There are a host of others but they have always been the top of the heap.
