Zeppelin Hall Launches 5th Annual BaconFest

by Rachel Montel

Jersey City’s newest biergarten, Zeppelin Hall, is set to launch its 5th annual BaconFest, an Oktoberfest-inspired bacon festival featuring over 2,000 pounds of bacon. BaconFest is set to run from January 19 through February 12. Zeppelin Hall’s introduction of German-American cultural cuisine exists as a staple in the metro New York-New Jersey locale with a unique Biergarten setting as an attractive force. Franco Robazetti, executive chef at Zeppelin Hall, presents bacon enthusiasm with his innovative take on new bacon creations including Bacon Cotton Candy, Pork Belly Sliders, and a 64 oz bacon-wrapped rib eye steak. Along with bacon-centered dishes, a Porchetta sandwich topped with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone on a French baguette, German potato salad, and spicy cabbage salad offer a spin on international cuisine. In addition to a creative variety of dishes, BaconFest introduces a bacon retake on happy hour offering complimentary bacon at the bar every evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Not to be missed, amenities unique to Zeppelin Hall such as a variety of over 100 beers, wine and cocktails, and live music will appear throughout BaconFest. Simple transit access is available to Zeppelin Hall, located at 88 Liberty View Drive in Jersey City, by Jersey Avenue Light Rail and the Grove Street PATH train route.

A bacon festival at a beer hall? I would gain ten pounds, and be so incredibly okay with that.
