11 Hudson County Residents Elated About Halloween

by Jaclyn Tuman

The one night a year where it is A-ok to scare the life out of people and eat way too much candy is upon us. There is still time to get some last minute costumes together and throw up some decorations, but for some of these Hudson County residents, preparation was key.

As Halloween creeps up and trick-or-treaters get ready, there will surely be no disappointment when knocking on the door of one of these Hudson County houses. If the kids are little, I’d advise staying away from some. Bayonne and Hoboken are certainly not taking shy to bringing in the Halloween spirit this year.

After all, who doesn’t enjoy some over-the-top Halloween decorations to celebrate fall? From mummies and ghouls to skeletons and webs, webs galore, these Halloween houses are ready.

Check out some of the Hudson County Halloween houses below, which were in my opinion, some of the most excited about the upcoming holiday.

House number one starts off for some wandering eyes, a string of lights and some bonus bats.

And, in the daylight, it still looks a but frightening…

The webs are definitely not very subtle this year in Hoboken.

Hudson County resident number six might not be killing it with the lights, but it took some serious effort to run those webs around the whole building, and for that, we condone you.

Ok, so this is the last webbed residence, but I’m really just hoping there is another entrance. Otherwise, they win for dedication.

Finally, not all Halloween houses need to be terrifying, and this Bayonne resident is plenty proof of that.

Hudson County has been known to celebrate the holiday with great pleasure, from the Downtown Jersey City Halloween Parade to the Halloween Edition of ArtBeats: Colla(BOO)ration Night.

This time, Bayonne and Hoboken are stepping up their Halloween game to win over some trick-or-treaters. I think the ones I saw did a pretty decent job, but I’m sure I did not see all Hudson County has to offer. Did I miss out on yours? Leave a comment and let us know below.
