An Evening With Heart

An Evening With Heart

An Evening With Heart is a food and wine tasting featuring some of Jersey City’s best restaurants. All funds raised will go to the Marfan Foundation to help provide support, awareness and medical education programs to benefit those living with Marfan syndrome and related disorders. Marfan syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects the body’s connective tissue. The disease most often affects the heart, blood vessels, bones, joints, and eyes. Marfan features such as aortic enlargement, the expansion of the main blood vessel that carries blood away from the heart to the rest of the body, are life threatening.

An Evening With Heart will be held on Thursday, February 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 77 Hudson in Jersey City. Guests can look forward to eating food from Cocoa Bakery Cafe, Sam A.M., Rumi Turkish Grill, Buddy V’s Catering (Buddy Valastro-The Cake Boss), and Dana’s Bakery, to name just a few. Besides delicious food and wine, the evening will also offer live entertainment from a variety of acts, a silent auction, jewelry sale and even a wine ring toss for those feeling playful. Parents need not find a babysitter if they want to attend An Evening With Heart, since the event is very child friendly, with activities such as painting to keep them occupied and happy.

To purchase tickets and explore sponsorship opportunities, visit www.marfan.org/evening-with-heart. Tickets cost $50 and children 10 years of age or younger get in free.  For more information about Marfan syndrome and related disorders, visit www.marfan.org.
