Going Shopping this weekend? Be up to date on the summer style trends

Now that the fluke winter weather has left us once again, it’s time to get outside and shop for summer style trends at City Place in Edgewater. The outdoor luxury shopping complex has 29 retail stores and seven places to get a bite to eat while you find your new favorite outfit.

The City Place style team has done their homework for finding this season’s style trends. They’ve scoured runways and fashion shows from Tokyo to New York to discover the top global trends and share them with Hudson County. Here are two trends you’ll be seeing this summer:

Primary colors

Royal blue, vibrant yellows and tomato red are the popular colors this season, and Banana Republic is embracing the bold trend.

Recommended styles at Banana Republic include the Tiered Ponte Fit-and-Flare Dress in royal blue for $140, the Ponte Cross-Back Fit-and-Flare Dress in bright yellow, also for $130, and the Gemma Wrap Dress in red for $98.

Tropical prints

If you’re looking to portray the relaxed, easy breezy vibe look for items with tropical prints like Anthropologie’s Getch Tie-Back Dress for $228 or Lovers + Friends Maxi Dress for an elegant evening outfit. When you want to look your best without putting a lot of effort in, these dresses will be your go-to.

City Place is located on River Road in Edgewater. Check out the store directory, sales and more here.CP Summer Style 14
