Top 5 Tips for a Healthier YOU in 2014

by Lynda

We all want to have a happy, healthy successful 2014. Here are some simple reminders of how to stay balanced so we look and feel our best.

1. Eat More Real Food
The choices we make on our plate everyday are so important. They become our cells and tissues that make up our bodies, so we truly are what we eat. Being more mindful of what we eat will help us look and feel our best. Add in plenty of variety and colors.

2. Drink Water
Since most of our body is made up of water, it only makes sense that our body functions better when hydrated. Use the free water app Waterlogged to track your intake daily. Your skin and body will thank you.

3. Move Your Body
Think of how you feel after a good workout. Moving your body helps clear your mind and sets you up for a happy and productive day. Humans are build to move and be active. If you find yourself in a funk, start by just taking a simple walk. No gym membership required.

4. Grow Your Mind
Challenge yourself to learning and reading something new. This is so important as we get older. Find something that interests you and dive right in.

5. Give Back to Others
Giving to others always makes us feel great. Start right outside your doorstep and help out your family and friends. Being of service to others is so rewarding.  Volunteering in your community can be a place to meet new people and feel a sense of belonging which is so important to good health.

I hope these tips help you make 2014 a great year.  Feel free to reach out for support and check out healthyhobokengirl.com for more real food nutrition and wellness tips.  Wishing you all the very best.
