Duck Donuts is here to make a splash in North Jersey. The famous franchise originated out of the Outer Banks in Duck, North Carolina, has officially opened its doors in Paramus. With the Jersey Shore home to aplenty of donut shops, Duck Donuts is, quite literally, a fresh addition to the northern part of the state.
“Duck Donuts is a unique donut experience, where we are making warm donuts fresh from scratch,” said Chintan Patel, one of Duck Donuts Paramus’ co-franchise owners. “Our in-store experience is really vibrant and family-friendly. We’re delivering that warm, homemade customizable donut experience in a business with unique, family-oriented values.”
As one of seven locations in New Jersey, Duck Donuts’ Paramus location is another reflection of the franchise’s family-orientedness and impressive customer service. “We have a purpose statement hanging in the store with the CEO and founder’s name on it that says, ‘This is our family serving yours.’ That’s the [family-oriented] experience we want to bring to our customers.”
What to Expect
If you have yet to step foot inside a Duck Donuts location, prepare yourself to be greeted by delicious, homemade smells and a menu of endless create-your-own donut opportunities to be made right on the spot. Creativity is not mandatory, however, with a selection of fan favorites already mapped out its easy pickings. Whether keeping it simple with a cinnamon sugar finish or opting for something more unique (you know, say, bacon bits as a topping), your tastebuds will certainly be thanking you.
In addition to its made-to-order offerings, Duck Donuts also offers coffee, milkshakes, ice cream donut sundaes, and even donut breakfast sandwiches. Meaning, you can now enjoy your bacon, egg and cheese layered between donut halves. That’s breakfast done right.
Duck Donuts Paramus is yet another food establishment to open its doors during the pandemic. Patel has been taking note of what’s working for consumers, with all signs pointing to the availability of convenience. “It’s a trend we have watched increase over the past year. So, while our made-to-order process is in-store for those who have the time, we also want to provide a convenient experience for those on the go. In a few weeks, we will launch with the option to order online or through the Duck Donuts Rewards app.”
Donuts That Make a Difference
With Duck Donuts being a first step in the industry for Patel, there’s also been a dedication to giving back. Another core value to the franchise. “Someone said, ‘We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.’ This pandemic has taught us an important lesson, giving is greater than getting.”
Duck Donuts as a whole exemplifies giving back to the community through Quack Gives Back. This program allows franchisees the opportunity to partner with local nonprofits and organizations to assist them in deserving ways. “Currently, we’re donating 300 donuts to a local middle school for kids,” noted Patel. “We have a few more organizations we are actively speaking with to support them through the [‘Quack Gives Back’] program. Whether through in-kind donations or financially, we are here to support our local community.”
