After closing their original location, Asbury Park Brewery has re-opened at 614 Cookman Ave. The 3,180-square-foot space features a brewery and tasting room, open to the public starting May 24 at 4:00 p.m.

The brewery will operate seven days a week, offering 12 beers on tap, including year-round, seasonal, and new releases. Patrons can enjoy growler and crowler fills, takeout can sales, and brewery merchandise. The venue will host live music performances and is available for private event bookings. Customers are welcome to bring food from local restaurants to pair with their drinks.

Founded in 2016 by local musicians and beer enthusiasts, Asbury Park Brewery originally operated on Sewall Ave. “It’s been a grind the last few years trying to get this new space open,” said founder Bob McLynn. “We can’t wait to welcome back our old friends and everyone hitting us up on social media. We have some great new beers in the tanks that will be released soon.”

The new tasting room includes an art installation by local artist Porkchop, showcasing collages of posters, photographs, and concert tickets from Asbury Park’s musical history. A 13-foot, 6-inch wooden record wall with over 8,000 vinyl albums is featured behind the bar. The design, inspired by Japanese listening bars, combines natural and vintage elements such as exposed brick and reclaimed wood.

Asbury Park Brewery emphasizes partnerships with local artists and musicians. Previous collaborations have included limited-edition beers with The Front Bottoms, Jack Antonoff, and Panic! At The Disco. Upcoming collaborations will be announced soon. The tasting room will offer rotating selections along with staples like Blonde, Sea Dragon, Easy Dragon, and Dragon Juice, as well as seasonal options like Watermelon Summer and Pony Pale Ale, the latter celebrating the Stone Pony’s 50th anniversary.

The brewery’s new location blends craft beer and music, continuing its tradition of community and creativity in Asbury Park.
