It’s hump day, and tomorrow officially kicks off the start of Lobster Palooza at Surf City. Much like their lobster celebrations in years past, they have curated a special menu featuring 17 lobster dishes. The offerings also include an entree Executive Chef Franco Robazetti created to become a Food Network “Chopped” champ on the show’s surf and turf-themed episode.
Beginning tomorrow (August 1st) until Sunday, August 18th, the aptly named Lobster Palooza menu will feature dishes ranging from lobster grilled cheese on brioche for $14 and quesadillas filled with lobster salad for $20, to lobster ravioli tossed in white wine garlic butter and Parmesan for $18 and lobster paella for $25.
The line-up will also include five whole lobster specials: Classic, served with garlic herb compound butter served with steamed corn. Creole-style, steamed with Old Bay. French, served with Maitre d’hotel compound butter, fresh parsley, shallots, garlic, lemon, and haricot verts. Spanish with caper and saffron-infused butter. And Mexican-spiced with cumin, chili powder compound butter and grilled corn.
The waterfront venue has become one of the city’s favorite summer hotspots and with Lobster Palooza at Surf City hitting at the peak of the season, this year’s event is fit for any seafood lover.
