Injuries Reported Among Passengers and Drivers

The immediate aftermath of the crash was chaotic. The primary NJ Transit bus involved was carrying several passengers. It’s no wonder that the number of injured quickly climbed. 

Over 20 passengers suffered injuries in the collision besides the driver of the bus. Among the injuries reported were broken ankles, facial injuries, neck pain, and other types of trauma. Those who sustained injuries were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. 

Fortunately, police reported that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening—a bit of good news in an otherwise tragic situation. 

The crash had a significant impact on the driver of the BMW, as well. He was also injured in the collision and was taken to University Hospital for treatment.
