With the new craze of blowout bars becoming a booming success, it’s no surprise that Hoboken’s very own Up & Out Blowout + Updo Bar, conveniently located on the corner of 4th and Bloomfield, has risen to the top of the blowout sensation in just under a year. I’ve had the pleasure of working with this Hoboken blowout bar doing freelance makeup work since June, and I can honestly attest to the fact that they are one of the best in town.
This boutique style Moroccan Oil salon offers an array of services, ranging from a shampoo & signature blowout to braids, updos, curls and in-salon makeup artistry, all with a complimentary beverage of choice and service with a smile. On-site bridal services are available with hair and makeup for any bride looking to feel and look beautiful on her special day.
The salon is owned by local Niki Klaczany, Hoboken’s blow out maven. Niki has been in the beauty industry since she was 14 years old. With a true passion for her work, Niki was able to cultivate her dream into a successful business while maintaining that small town charm that the salon offers. With only 6 stylists at a time, Up & Out always has back-to-back appointments, yet manages to complete each style session in a timely fashion with panache and flair.
The Hoboken blowout bar will be celebrating one year in business on December 21st. That year included a “Best Blowout” award from the Best of Tri-State Event, an informative in-salon bridal showcase (“Brides & Bubbly”) of local businesses which included Up & Outs very own hair & bridal makeup pros, and a breast cancer awareness charity event. Last, but certainly not least, Niki and her team had the pleasure of styling the young singing girl trio 3KT (featuring reality TV star Gia Giudice) outside Macy’s Herald Square earlier this month.
After such a fantastic year, Hoboken is looking forward to seeing what’s up next at Up & Out. For more beauty tips and samples of my makeup work, please visit me at Carolineburnsbeauty.com.
