10 Hudson County Homes to Follow for Design Inspiration

by Abby Montanez

Social media is essentially a bottomless pit for home decor inspiration. From curated Pinterest pages to interior design Instagrams, you can turn to the Internet for ideas, tips and everything in between. Essentially, we’re only a click away from becoming amateur designers ourselves. While it can be easy to go straight for resources such as Apartment Therapy or professionals like Emily Henderson, there’s nothing that compares to finding Hudson County homes nearby that share with the public the savvy design of their abode.

In my time managing The Digest’s Instagram page, I’ve come across so many stylish Hudson County homes that I wanted to share a few of my favorite local spaces for you to check out, and maybe even follow. From minimalist details and out-of-the-box interiors to a treasure trove of antiques, you’ll find yourself coming back to these accounts time and time again for inspiration.

Jersey City

@the_senik_view

This account features light, airy interiors that appeal to an *actually* affordable budget. Think sweet finds from Magnolia or expensive-looking pieces from the likes of Pier1 or Target. @the_senik_view‘s page itself could almost be seen as a mood board of sorts for unique design ideas and easy styling tips—coming from a pro at that, as a student of The Interior Design Institute.

@littlehouseonlaidlaw

This Heights residence is bursting with historic charm. The perfect blend of old and new, @littlehouseonlaidlaw is all the inspo you need for a modern-meets-vintage home. While adorable cats are frequently making cameos on the account, the elegant and sophisticated vibe of this 1885 dwelling steals the spotlight.

@jennycipoletti

We have some serious envy when it comes to @jennycipoletti’s home (and personal style). Located in the Van Vorst neighborhood, the area is known for its Victorian architecture and the interior of this brownstone is every bit as rich and ornate as its roots. Parisian in its inspiration, we’re lusting over the velvet upholstery, brass mirrors and antique aesthetic.

@nora.h.clark

@nora.h.clark makes one-bedroom living look good—and decorating, easy. Small spaces need to balance functionality and style, which is why we love the living room area especially because it features a gallery wall and cozy couches in an L-shape. Not to mention she gets a ton of natural light (and has an adorable dog).

@broboken.interiors

The @broboken.interiors account has arguably gotten more stylish over the years since Steven Garcia transitioned from living in Hoboken to now Jersey City. No matter the location, his mid-century apartment is one we’re obsessed with. From the art-filled living room to touches of green and dark wood, the space is full of personality.

Hoboken

@tobebright

Tilden Brighton is the face behind Hoboken’s @tobebright, and her Instagram page gives followers an inside peek at her colorful home along with glimpses into her personal life. Look no further for an abundance of plant shelfies, bohemian decor and rooms that feel comfortable, and more importantly, lived in.

@homebokenstyle

Self-described as “white, gray and a touch of green,” the minimalist vibe of this residence is something we can definitely get behind. For fans of a natural and neutral scheme, @homebokenstyle turned a “cookie-cutter” apartment into a chic space filled with wooden touches, gold accents and a crisp white color palette.

@hobokenhomes

From stunning residential interiors to stylish commercial spaces, @hobokenhomes features a variety of decor inspo from different people and businesses throughout Hudson County. Think everyone from bwè kafe, Hoboken’s @danielletullo and more. Follow this page for a look at what all the Hudson County homes have to offer.

Union City

@theblondehostess

A Connecticut native and Union City transplant, the home of Michele from @theblondehostess has a signature chic and glamorous style to it. The overall neutral color palette is livened up with metallic accents and sparkly touches, our favorite being her bar cart that’s perfect for entertaining.

Bayonne

@her.olive.home

The farmhouse-meets-coastal feel of this Bayonne residence by @her.olive.home is unique in and of itself. The decor is intentionally rustic with an abundance of natural elements, earth tones and a calming atmosphere that you can almost feel through the screen.
