There’s been a lot of change over the last five years, and one thing that’s changed drastically is how people get their work done. Today, remote work is more popular than ever, and where better to do it than at a coffee shop?

A recent survey conducted by financial media company MarketBeat looked to rank the best coffee shops for remote work in the nation. Two New Jersey coffee shops were included among the best in the country.

Hybrid Coffee & Kitchen in Jersey City and MOKAFÉ in Paterson secured spots on the list, ranking No. 43 and No. 109, respectively. The survey gathered responses from 3,013 business executives and remote workers to determine the top coffee shops nationwide for productivity away from traditional office spaces.

Hybrid Coffee & Kitchen, known for its specialty coffee and breakfast options, provides an inviting atmosphere with reliable Wi-Fi and comfortable seating. MOKAFÉ, located in Paterson, offers a warm ambiance with espresso drinks, freshly baked pastries, and a work-centric environment.

“The way we work has evolved, and coffee shops have become the modern boardroom for professionals looking to collaborate, negotiate, and get deals done,” said Matt Paulson, founder of MarketBeat.

The survey highlighted 145 coffee shops across the United States. The top-ranked location was Bad Bunnies Coffee in Charleston, S.C., followed by 787 Coffee in New York City and Big Island Coffee Roasters in Hilo, Hawaii. These cafes were recognized for their strong Wi-Fi connections, ample seating, and an atmosphere conducive to remote work and business discussions.
