Halifax Restaurant and Ruinart Champagne Host a Pairings Dinner

halifax restaurantTonight at the W Hotel’s Halifax restaurant, French champagne company Ruinart will be hosting a dinner to unite both Chef Seadon Shouse’s Nova Scotian-inspired menu with four of their different champagne offerings. Guests will begin their evening by sipping Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres such as chickpea fritters, smoked Maine mussels, brioche crostini and mushroom soup shooters. Guests will then move onto a two-course dinner accompanied by an assortment of local cheeses.

For dinner, Chef Shouse will showcase both coastal and farmland classics such as Montauk fluke tartar complimented by Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2004 and Long Island Duck paired with Ruinart Rosé NV. Lacey Burke, Ruinart Brand Ambassador, will also there to discuss the numerous pairings. Tonight’s event will take place at 7 p.m. and reservations can be made by e-mailing [email protected], with a price of $75 per person.
