The NY-based cookie chain Milk N Cookies is stepping onto the scene with a new location set to open on 43 Church Street in Montclair, NJ. The popular dessert shop boasts a unique menu of delectable infused cookies, milkshakes, and fresh ice cream treats. Alongside these one-of-a-kind items is a family-friendly atmosphere catering to visitors of all ages, who can enjoy either a basic dessert combination or have their more extravagant taste buds met with exciting new flavor options. The Many Locations
Milk N Cookies was founded in 2018 by a duo of friends who desired to combine their passion for sweets and sugary breakfast treats to create a unique dessert hang-out spot for all ages to enjoy. Their vision for the company was to bring together friends and family in a unique way, all while enjoying some treats with a creative twist. When searching for the perfect location, they landed in the family-oriented town of Mamaroneck, NY which was vacant of such an eatery.
They aimed to make the shop a warm, welcoming atmosphere for locals to bring family and friends to socialize with flat-screen TVs, plenty of seating, and even private event space. Due to the success of Mamaroneck, two additional locations opened up. One at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ, and the other at 163 Bedford Street in Stamford, CT. However, the company plans to further expand its sweet tooth reach in the next few years.
When visiting Milk N Cookies, guests are met with a sleek black and white interior, allowing for the spotlight to focus on the colorful cereal lining the glass-cased cookie bar. As guests line up to try the newest flavor combination, their eyes are met with various sheets of freshly made cookies quickly being brought out of the oven from behind the counter.
Whether you have young children or are an older adult yourself, Milk N Cookies has something for you. Guests of any age are encouraged to tap into their inner child when making selections. This embrace of juvenility has become the backbone of their business model.
“We have teenagers, 20 to 30-year-olds, young families with little kids, and older people who come in because it doesn’t matter how old you are…your inner child is there,” George Spirou, co-owner of the Stamford location shared in an interview with News 12. “You are never going to outgrow that child inside of you.”
A Menu of Sweet Indulgence
This dessert shop offers more than just your typical milk and cookie combination. The menu boasts a mouth-watering variety of unique treats, including massive stuffed cookies and cereal-infused milkshakes and ice cream. As the official vendor of Duchess Cookies, Milk N Cookies’ front cookie bar is decked out with several diverse flavor offerings such as the Cookie Monster, Oreo Cheesecake, Galaxy, Red Velvet, and many more. Each cookie is uniquely stuffed and topped with colorful designs and flavors, with creations like the Unicorn Cheesecake Sugar Cookie featuring pink and purple shades oozing alongside a luscious strawberry cheesecake filling, and a dusting of edible glitter. The most popular cookie order is the Cookie Monster, a blue sugar cookie wrapped around a gooey chocolate chip cookie center.
