We shoulda stopped at Roy Rogers…

Roy Rogers is opening a new fast-food restaurant in Cherry Hill on Wednesday, marking the chain’s return to South Jersey after more than 30 years.

The location on Haddonfield Road will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., with doors opening to the public at 10:30 a.m. The drive-thru will begin service at noon, according to the company.

This is the third Roy Rogers in New Jersey, joining locations in Brick and Pine Beach.

The first 50 customers in line will receive one free regular combo meal per week for a year through the Roy’s Rewards app.

Founded in 1967, the chain once operated about 600 restaurants nationwide, including over 100 in New Jersey. Cherry Hill alone had three locations during the brand’s peak.

The new site brings Roy Rogers to 41 locations across five states. The brand, known for fried chicken, roast beef, burgers, and its self-serve Fixin’s Bar, is planning a modest regional expansion.

The company said the Cherry Hill opening will include a donation to the local public library.
