Summer Days at Dorney Park

Dorney Park, now 132 years in business, continues to bring new generations of families to The Lehigh Valley.

Planet Snoopy

A classic Merry-Go Round welcomes parents and eager kids of all ages to their enclosed amusement park with an ergonomic layout that guides families around to each attraction. Patient parents appreciate the clean facilities and quick-moving lines, even without the use of the available $99 Fast Lane Pass to let ticketholders skip to the front of lines. The assistance of friendly staff ensures that families have the ultimate Dorney Park experience.

The park features ten family-friendly rides, including the Antique Carousel and Tilt-A-Whirl, and a 90-foot tall Ferris Wheel which offers an eagle eye view of the entire property.

Steel Force Roller Coaster

Apart from traditional rides, Dorney Park features classic coasters and thrill rides for older kids and adults. The famous ThunderHawk, the oldest coaster in the park and eighth oldest coaster in the US, has been refurbished after a nostalgic 92 years with new trains and decorative lights for this summer season. The park also offers ten different thrill rides to keep adrenaline junkies on the edges of their seats.

If you dare to go on a hot day, the Wildwater Kingdom at Dorney Park is a perfect place to cool down for the day. With over three dozen water slides, pools, lazy rivers, and wading areas, there’s somewhere for everyone in the family to cool off.

Planet Snoopy

Unique to Dorney is a themed park featuring the beloved Snoopy, complete with appearances by the popular series’ characters. Adorned with picture-perfect photo ops, the park houses sixteen rides for kids and parents to enjoy together, along with live shows and appearances in the Planet Snoopy amphitheater. Even the most active kids will want to sit down and watch a 30-minute show.

Right inside Planet Snoopy’s Snoopy Boutique, Joe Cool’s Soda Pop Shop is the stop for an old-fashioned ice cream float. Traditional kids meals such as hot dogs and french fries are found in various locations around the park. To stay hydrated in the summer heat, a souvenir drink bottle is available for purchase with the option of refilling throughout the day or the entire season.

Hydra Rollercoaster

If your kids can’t get enough of Pokemon Go, they can follow a Player Guide with a park map featuring 36 PokeStops and three gyms where young Pokemon trainers can continue to catch them all. Park staff encourages kids to find the best places to rack up more points.

Unknown to most visitors, Dorney Park’s website also offers regularly updated deals for discounted parking and special offers. This includes a $3 coupon off the regular day parking fee. There are many different affordable packages for daily trips and season passes for a whole summer’s worth of amusement.
