4th Street Art And Music Festival 2013: Closing The Curtain

Lauren Scrudato

If you’ve missed the 4th Street Art and Music Festival in Jersey City in the past, clear your schedule and make time to go, as this Saturday will be the tenth and final festival. Crafts, paintings, music, comedy, and even a home brew competition — there’s something for everyone. The day kicks off at 10:15 a.m. with Breakfast with the Beatles and the final jam winds down around 9:15 p.m.

Stay all day or just for a few hours, but be sure to check out these highlights:

  • Joe DeAllegro’s Comedy tent will keep you amused from 1-3 p.m.

  • Jersey City Brew Club and Jersey City Ties present their Homebrew Competition from 4-8 p.m. at 377 4th Street. Tickets are $20 and proceeds will go towards 4th Street Arts, Inc. Help promote local artists while sipping on beers you’ve never tasted before.

  • Parents can bring their children in the morning for Preschool of Rock, an interactive educational program, followed by kid-friendly activities all day at the 4th Street Children’s Area.

  • A surprise creation will be done by multimedia artist Gocha Tsinadze, but you’ll have to stop by towards the end of the night to find out what it is…

With free admission, there’s no reason not to stop by and support community arts.
