Attention all art admirers, this Sunday, October 15th, Mana Contemporary, in collaboration with The Brooklyn Rail, will be hosting the Fall 2017 Open House from 1pm-8pm at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City. The Brooklyn Rail Occupy Mana features artists based at Mana Contemporary as well as New York-based artists. Together their works will reflect issues surrounding immigration, the environment, human rights and equality, foreign relations, and more. The showcase is curated by Phong Bui and Rail Curatorial Projects. Mana will be occupied with an array of artworks of various media throughout all floors, hallways, and even the cafe. There will be an Occupy Mana Artist Reception from 4-6pm in the Glass Gallery, and a Participatory Performance and Reception entitled “Eating the City” from 6-8pm in the 1st floor lobby.
The Open House will also feature new exhibitions from Asia Contemporary Art Week & Consortium, Juxtapoz Magazine and Mana BSMT. The open house is free, however a suggested donation of $10 is requested. There will also be complimentary shuttle service that will depart every half hour from Milk Studios in NY from noon-5pm. Returning shuttles from Mana will run every half hour from 2-8pm. Mana Contemporary is located at 888 Newark Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306.
