According to a recent analysis done by WalletHub, New Jersey is one of the most educated states in the nation.

To determine which states were the best educated (and which were the least) WalletHub analyzed states across a series of 18 metrics, including educational attainment, quality of schools and achievement gaps between genders and races. Using these factors, New Jersey ranks as the 7th most educated state in the U.S.

Analyst Chip Lupo, who conducted the study, stated: “There’s a strong correlation between being more educated and receiving higher compensation. The most educated states provide high-quality educational experiences from elementary school all the way to graduate programs, which helps parents raise children in an environment that gives them as many opportunities as possible. The top states also provide equitable schooling conditions, with low racial and gender gaps in educational attainment.”
