New York Rangers alumni Ron Duguay and Nick Fotiu are teaming up with iPlay America to help raise money for 17-year-old Monroe Township resident Mikey Nichols, who fractured his C5 vertebra during a high school ice hockey game earlier this winter.

After spending time at Morristown Medical Center, Mikey is now at The Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Beginning at 6 p.m. on March 31, iPlay America will donate every penny of ticket sales to the Nichols’ family to help fund Mikey’s recovery.

If you purchase tickets ahead of time online, you will receive a pass for four hours of unlimited rides plus a $10 game card for $23, coinciding with Mikey’s jersey number. And if you buy tickets at iPlay the day of, you’ll get the same four hour ride pass and a $5 game card.

“We want to maximize the funds we raise for Mikey with at least 1,500 people coming to iPlay America on Monday, March 31,” said Jessica Schwartz, director of marketing and promotions for iPlay America. “The more people who come and participate, the more money we raise for Mikey.”

iPlay America is a kid’s oasis. The indoor theme park features plenty of activities, such as go-karts, extreme laser tag, bumper cars, mini bowling, and arcade with 200 games and a 4D movie theater just to name a few. iPlay is also equipped with a variety of food stands to keep kids and parents energized throughout the day.

To up the ante even more, The Monroe Township Baseball Association will hold a silent auction with prizes including a signed Justin Tuck jersey, a Brownstone New Year’s Eve iPlay Party for 16 people, and Nick Fotiu’s autographed jersey, mini helmet, puck and an 8×10 photo.
