Summer Isn’t Over: Beaches Near Hoboken

Justin Goldsmith

beachesGrab your sandals, because even though we’re well into August, the summer is far from over. There is still plenty of beach time to be enjoyed, and what better day to dream about hitting the beach than a Friday? Take a break from all your hard work and start planning your beach trip. Here’s some of our suggestions:

1.) Sea Bright Beach: Only about an hour away from Hoboken, Sea Bright is in a great community and has a heritage dating back to 1800’s. Sea Bright has 7 public beach access ways, so there’s plenty of sand to go around.

2.) Belmar: About an hour and fifteen minutes away from Hoboken in Monmouth County, Belmar beach seems to be a popular pick for beach officials. Belmar was voted the #1 beach in Monmouth County and the #5 beach in all of New Jersey! Considering how many beaches are in New Jersey, I’d say that’s a pretty good ranking.

3.) Point Pleasant: A great shore beach, Point Pleasant is about an hour and a half away from Hoboken but has a pretty extensive list of reasons to go… click the link to see attractions, events, and nightlife options around Point Pleasant.

4.) Rockaway Beach or Jacob Riis Park: Without having to go much further than New York, Rockabus is a convenient and affordable way to make it to the water! The Rockabus can take you there and back easier and faster than driving. Take a look at their website to see how you can make your getaway to the beach this weekend a painless process.

We hope to see you at the beach! Have a great Friday.
