For the hungry and the thirsty, the 9th Annual New Jersey Beer and Food Festival will be taking over Crystal Springs Resort June 16 – 18. The annual celebration is conveniently scheduled to take place over Father’s Day Weekend with a Chefs & Brews Dinner, a beer tasting featuring over 150 beers, a golf tournament and the Sunday Brews Brunch in the Chef’s garden.

The weekend festivities commence with the Chef and Brews Dinner on Friday, June 16 at 7 p.m. Jersey Girl Brewing Co., a local craft brewer from Mount Olive, NJ launched in 2014, will be featuring beer pairings alongside a four-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Anthony Bucco, the director of food and beverage at Crystal Springs Resort. The menu will feature Mangalitsa Charcuterie with whisky soaked cherries, stout mustard and artisan breads; Berkshire Pork Belly with olives, pistachios and avocado; and Porcelet Porchetta with Pine Island potatoes, dandelion and romesco. To top it off, NJ Strawberries will be serving lavender shortbread and whipped yogurt for dessert. Dinner starts with a reception of passed canapés and beer cocktails. Ticket are $125.

Saturday at the New Jersey Beer and Food Festival starts off with the Brews and Birdies Tourney at 9 a.m. on the resort’s award-winning Wild Turkey course. The 18-hole tournament will feature scenic landscapes and pit stops for craft beer tastings on four different holes –– registration for the golf tournament can be made at GolfGenius.com. Tickets are $195 and include admission to the Beer Festival, where brews are unlimited and food is all-you-can-eat. Beer lovers have a selection of over 150 beers to try out, including many craft beers. Crystal Springs’ culinary team will grill savory Berkshire pork, grass-fed beef, lamb, free-range chickens, rabbit and more over open fire pits. Tickets are $75 for 3 p.m. admission ($100 for VIP –– VIP guests receive a free t-shirt and early access to the festival at 2 p.m.); $35 for designated drivers. Guests will also enjoy tons of activities like Hot Air Balloon Rides, Human Foosball, Cornhole, Horseshoes and more.

The festival will be closing with the Father’s Day Brews Brunch on Sunday June 18 in the Chef’s Garden. The al fresco dining experience will offer family style dishes like Wood-Fired Mushroom Frittata, Jerk Goffle Road Chicken, Smoked Berkshire Pork Shoulder, 7X Beef and Mangalitsa Slider and more with growlers of beer.
