Federal authorities are asking for the public’s assistance after a man reportedly held up a bank in Bridgeton, New Jersey, before fleeing the scene—on a bicycle.

The FBI’s Atlantic City office, part of its Newark division, says the robbery occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Newfield National Bank, located at 720 Shiloh Pike in Cumberland County.

Investigators say the suspect pedaled into the bank’s parking lot on a blue bicycle, walked inside, and pulled a firearm on a teller while demanding cash. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, he exited the bank and escaped on the same bike.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Surveillance footage and witness reports describe the man as wearing dark sunglasses, a face covering, and gloves. He was also seen in a black jacket featuring gray patches and a strip of camouflage fabric running vertically down the front, along with gray pants and a hat.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen the man or has information about the robbery to contact the FBI Newark Field Office at (973) 792-3000 or reach out to the New Jersey State Police Bridgeton Station at (856) 451-0100.
