Hoboken’s city government was targeted by a ransomware attack on Wednesday, resulting in the closure of City Hall and the suspension of some municipal services.
According to the Hoboken Police Department, all online city services have been temporarily halted as officials work with the IT department to assess the situation and restore services.
As a result of the cyber attack, municipal court sessions scheduled for Wednesday have been canceled, and street sweeping has been suspended for the day. However, parking regulations, waste collection, and recreation programs will continue as planned.
City officials have not yet released additional details, but updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
