Multiple Small Earthquakes Shake New Jersey on Monday, Additional Aftershocks Reported

Multiple earthquakes were felt in Morris County on Monday.

In total, six small earthquakes were reported by residents. Reports range from early morning Monday to late in the evening according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The recorded earthquakes, and their magnitudes, are as follows:

5:40 a.m. – 1.6 magnitude quake, 3 km south-southeast of Randolph

6:30 p.m. – 1.3 magnitude quake, 2 km south of Randolph

8:00 p.m. – 1.2 magnitude quake, 3 km south-southeast of Randolph

9:00 p.m. – 2.0 magnitude quake, 3 km southeast of Randolph

10:00 p.m. – 0.7 magnitude quake, 3 km north-northeast of Mendham

11:30 p.m. – 1.1 magnitude quake, 4 km south-southeast of Randolph

Additionally, some North Jersey residents reported aftershocks on Tuesday.
