Forbes just released their annual list of the richest people in the world and six New Jersey billionaires made the list. 

The 2026 ranking outlined 3,028 billionaires globally, amounting to over $16.1 trillion in combined networth—up a staggering $2 trillion from 2024. 

New Jersey is home to six of the record 902 billionaires across the U.S. Here’s the breakdown of the Garden State’s richest residents.

John Overdeck

Net Worth: $8 billion

World Ranking: #455

John Overdeck co-founded Two Sigma, a quantitative investment firm managing $60 billion in assets. Overdeck has donated over $380 million to educational causes through his family foundation and chairs Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study. He lives in Millburn. 

Peter Kellogg
