A Totowa resident was arrested Thursday after authorities discovered a stockpile of illegal weapons in his home. The arrest followed an anonymous tip regarding the man’s reckless behavior with firearms on social media, according to police.

Kyle Arena, 35, faces multiple charges related to firearms and weapons offenses. Law enforcement officials said the investigation began after they received a tip on September 24, reporting that Arena had posted images of himself pointing firearms at individuals while driving and shared other concerning content in gun enthusiast Facebook groups.

During the search of Arena’s home on Lincoln Avenue, authorities found 129 fully-loaded illegal high-capacity magazines, thousands of rounds of ammunition, knives, and materials used to modify firearms. The Passaic County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad also uncovered four explosive devices in the residence.

Arena’s father, Felix Arena, 66, was also arrested at the scene on charges of disorderly conduct, making terroristic threats, and resisting arrest.

Kyle Arena is expected to appear in court next week. The investigation is ongoing.
