In New Jersey, Wawa is a way of life. But if you’ve picked up a bottled drink from the convenience chain recently, it’s worth checking your fridge. Wawa is recalling four of its 16-ounce branded drinks sold across stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia after the company discovered the beverages may contain traces of milk—an allergen not listed on the label.
The recall was triggered by a temporary equipment issue that has since been identified and corrected.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products.
Which Products Are Affected?
The following Wawa beverages are included in the recall:
- Wawa Iced Tea Lemon (UPC: 726191018425) — Code date May 15, 2026. Sold at 123 stores across DE, MD, NJ, PA, and VA.
- Wawa Iced Diet Tea Lemon (UPC: 726191018548) — Code date May 18, 2026. Sold at 8 stores in NJ and PA.
- Wawa Diet Lemonade (UPC: 726191055901) — Code date May 18, 2026. Sold at 12 stores in DE and NJ.
- Wawa Fruit Punch (UPC: 726191018432) — Code date May 19, 2026. Sold at 53 stores across DE, MD, NJ, PA, and VA.
To check any of your purchased beverages, the code date can be found printed on the top of each bottle.
What Should You Do?
All recalled products have since been removed from store shelves and discarded. However, if you purchased one of these Wawa-branded drinks and still have it at home, the company is urging you to throw it away immediately—especially if you have an allergy to milk. Consuming the product could cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction, even if just found in traces.
