Woodhouse Day Spa recently had its grand opening at the W Hoboken on October 28th, 2021. The hotel’s newest tenant replaced the former Bliss Spa after it closed its doors two years ago in November 2019. This marks the company’s fourth New Jersey location, after others in Montclair, Summit and Red Bank.

The spa is situated on Hoboken’s waterfront and spans two levels, totaling 6,000-square-feet. Inside it offers a series of signature Woodhouse services including the Minkyti Facial, Core Body Balancing Massage, Organic Seaweed Leaf Wrap and Seaweed Marine Eye Compress Treatment. In the future, additional mood care treatments will also be available.

Owner of Woodhouse Hoboken, Alla Shapiro, was first drawn to the brand’s variety of unique services. This led her to open her first location in Montclair in 2008 and in Red Bank in 2012.

At Woodhouse Hoboken, every visit begins with treating guests to plush robes and reflexology sandals. After you’ve changed but before a session, there’s time to relax in the Quiet Room. Here you’ll notice gentle music playing, essential oils wafting through the air and soft lighting. All these instantly initiate a sense of calm and relaxation, in addition to a variety of warm teas (if you choose).

Inside the treatment rooms, guests can enjoy the warm sensation of a heated table and comfortable plush linens. During the grand opening, we were able to enjoy a hydrafacial—designed to exfoliate, reduce fine lines and wrinkles while also infusing the skin with hyaluronic acid.

Woodhouse Hoboken is currently open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. To make a reservation, visit their website or call the spa directly at (201) 254-8200.
