Everybody seeks a little thrill in their life. Luckily, New Jersey is home to plenty of places to satisfy that craving. There are many options to choose from, but why not try zip lining and ropes courses? Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned veteran, these activities welcome anyone. For your next trip, venture off to one of these NJ zip line courses.
FLG X Adventure Course – Ledgewood, NJ
As one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. this NJ adventure and zip line course is packed with fun. There are over 30 zip lines to ride. They vary in height from 15 to 50 feet. Zipliners will receive training before they start their adventure, as the course is self-guided.
There is also plenty to do on the adventure course. There are over 10 obstacles to choose from, ranging from hanging nets, bridges, climbing walls, and more. Each obstacle is marked with color to define the skill level of the course, ranging from minimum elevation and skill to advanced.
There will be a 30-minute training session to explain the courses and equipment; then, you’re off to the easiest course. After that, you can move onto the more difficult courses. All can be completed in about three hours.

The Mainland – Manahawkin, NJ
The Mainland is fun for all ages. There are over 50 aerial activities to partake in, a 50-foot climbing wall, four zip lines, a go-kart track, and more. While on the zip lines, you’ll soar over the go-kart track. There are plenty of levels to choose from, depending on your age and how daring you are.
The aerial course has three levels varying in difficulty. You can traverse swinging objects, balance on logs, fumble through ropes, and climb up daring obstacles. If you’d rather stay on the ground, check out the go-kart track, where you can race through turns for a distance of over 1,000 feet. There is even a play fort for children who may not want to explore the full course.

Tree to Tree Adventure Park – Cape May, NJ
With zip lines, swings, nets, and more, there are plenty of things to do at the Tree to Tree Adventure Park. This zip line course is also self-guided and set high in the trees, with five lines to choose from and training beforehand. Participants can complete the entire course two times.
The adult and kids obstacle courses offer challenges for multiple skill levels. These courses are also self-guided. You’ll be able to walk on wobbly paths, swing from tree to tree, climb up obstacles, and participate in other trials.
The adult package includes three adventure courses and a zip line course. Meanwhile, the children package includes two adventure courses. Prices are available on their website.
TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park – Vernon Township, NJ
This park offers challenges for adventurers of any skill level. Set in the woods of
Great Gorge, there is a variety of wooden platforms that participants can zip line, walk, or climb across. When you’re not climbing, you can grab breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks.
Each ticket is valid for three hours once you begin your adventure. You determine what events you want to partake in, as well as the difficulty. There is also, typically, the option to go night climbing; however, due to COVID-19, this is currently unavailable.
Tickets cost $25 for ages four through six and $53 for ages seven and up.
Mountain Creek Zip Tours – Vernon Township, NJ
These zip lines are perfect for anyone who wants to fly high. The lines are located on the top of Mountain Creek where you’ll see some amazing views on your ride. You’ll be able to see New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania all in one trip, and even cross over the lake.
The zip lines range from 200 to 1,500 feet in length. While there, you’ll receive a guided tour through the courses.
Tickets cost $49.99 for all ages and must be reserved in advance.
Treetop Adventure Course – West Orange, NJ
Soar in the sky at the Treetop Adventure Course, located right next to the Turtle Back Zoo. This world-class aerial obstacle and zip line course has much to enjoy. The high-flying zip line is longer than a football field and rises to 40 feet.
There are two types of obstacle courses to try: adult and junior. Parents and guardians have the option to join their children on the junior course for the same price. The adult courses are approximately 35 feet in height while the junior courses are 10 feet. There are 30 challenges in the adult courses which lasts one to one-and-a-half hours. The junior courses have 15 challenges lasting 30 to 45 minutes.
The adult course costs $30 while the junior course is $20. The fee to ride the zip line is $15. Participants can purchase both amenities for a discount: $35 for the adult course and zip line and $27 for the junior course and zip line.
