The pickleball craze is inescapable, and the excitement surrounding the once underknown sport continues to grow each year.
New Jersey is no exception—the NJ pickleball scene is alive and thriving. Burlington County residents are in luck as a new place to play pickleball is coming to Moorestown.
ACE Pickleball Club (APC), a national chain, will open an indoor facility featuring 11 courts, membership opportunities and skill-based open play. The 32,950-square-foot space will be located at 1199 Nixon Drive. It is one of several ACE Pickleball Clubs announced for New Jersey, including a Freehold APC and a North Brunswick APC, which are poised to open soon. A nearby Voorhees APC will also open alongside Moorestown, according to the company’s site.
How Popular Is Pickleball?
If you think it’s a fad, think again. Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. Its popularity stems from cross-generational appeal, a short learning curve and broad accessibility with low barriers to entry. It combines pieces of tennis, badminton and table tennis, making it familiar to a wide range of players.
The Moorestown pickleball facility is just the latest addition for New Jersey. With multiple indoor and outdoor pickleball options across the state, NJ is proving to be all-in on the sport.
