Wine Spectator has named 85 New Jersey restaurants among the top wine destinations in the world in its 2025 Restaurant Awards.

The annual list, released Thursday, honors more than 3,800 restaurants across all 50 U.S. states and 80-plus countries. The awards aim to highlight venues that offer thoughtful, well-curated wine programs across a range of styles, prices, and cuisines.

Started in 1981, the awards program encourages excellence in wine service. Wine Spectator sets out each year to recognize the restaurants across the globe that are raising the industry standard on wine.

“A wine list is a restaurant’s identity in print,” said Wine Spectator Editor and Publisher Marvin Shanken. “This year’s winners reflect deep knowledge and a passion for discovery.”

Shanken praised the honorees for their commitment to quality, saying, “We raise a glass to all our winners.”
