Maplewood Pizzeria Announces New Location and Name

Arturo's Maplewood

—A popular NJ pizzeria has announced big changes coming soon

Arturo’s in Maplewood, NJ has long been touted for its excellent pizza and baked goods in a cozy atmosphere. The quaint BYOB is a meeting place for casual diners and aficionados alike. Arturo’s menu includes wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta, fire-roasted meatballs and sandwiches during lunch hours.

Additionally, just down the road in Maplewood is The Bread Stand—Arturo’s own bakery and cafe.

While both spots have no issues in their current locations, Arturo’s team felt time for a change. In an Instagram post, the team announced that next month they will begin a move into a new location in Maplewood. In this move, Arturo’s and The Bread Stand will morph into one and operate under the same roof for the first time. The plan is to offer bakery items in the morning, lunch in the afternoon and then dinner service at night. Takeout throughout the day is expected to continue in the move. Over time, the team plans on expanding the menu.

With this move comes another exciting addition: A liquor license. The new space will include a simple bar program that will grow as the team becomes more comfortable with the additional workload.

That’s not it as far as changes go. Arturo’s (and The Bread Stand) will become Artie’s with the move. “Since we’re switching it all up, we’re going to be ‘Artie’s’ (you can always call us whatever you prefer.)” the team said on Instagram.

Artie’s expects to become stronger than before with the move and a new, shared space gives a unique opportunity for concept expansion that was unavailable before. For the highly-lauded pizzeria, the move is a necessity for continued growth. For pizza fans across the state, Artie’s is a welcome change.
