Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is expanding its presence across the U.S., with plans to open 21 new locations through four development deals. The expansion includes Monmouth County, New Jersey, where franchisee Peter Labib will establish four new restaurants, according to ROI-NJ.
Freddy’s, known for its fast-casual dining concept, currently operates over 530 locations across 36 states. The company has more than 130 additional sites planned for development in the next two years. Originating in Kansas, the chain specializes in cooked-to-order smashburgers, shoestring fries, cheese curds, frozen custard and more.
Many fans tout Freddy’s for its quality ingredients and overall freshness, while maintaining the speed expected from a drive-thru or counter-service restaurant.
Andrew Thengvall, the company’s chief development officer, emphasized the continued growth as a sign of the brand’s value and appeal to both new and existing franchisees.
There are currently three Freddy’s operating in NJ, with locations in Linden, Toms River and Burlington.
