A new dining destination has opened at the Ramsey Golf and Country Club. Rare Bird brings contemporary Italian steakhouse vibes to both club members and the public.
Executive Chef Joey Sergentakis—whom has Michelin experience on his resume—leads the kitchen with a seamless approach to steakhouse classics, sushi offerings, and more. The restaurant offers lunch and dinner service, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The name “Rare Bird” is inspired by the Latin phrase Rara Avis, the motto of Ramsey Country Club. More precisely, it refers to something extraordinary and unique—a fitting reflection of the restaurant’s culinary vision. The name also centers on “rare,” a playful nod to perfectly cooked steaks and exceptional quality.
Rare Bird also features live music on select Thursday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m., showcasing a range of performers and genres.
Operated by the same team behind Allendale Social, Uno Mas, and Charlie’s Place in Waldwick, Rare Bird promises to be a standout addition to the North Jersey dining scene, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for steak, sushi, and live entertainment lovers alike.
