Grow it Green Morristown will host its annual Alfresco at the Farm festival this Saturday, September 20. The family-focused event is free and runs from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Early Street Community Garden.
The festival looks to blend quiet farm life with bustling city energy, offering family-friendly games, crafts and farm education stations. Children will learn about bees, seeds, and plants while collecting stamps at activity stops to earn prizes.
Plenty of local food options will be available, including free pizza, provided by Millie’s Old World Pizza & Meatballs. Live music performances are scheduled from Bryan Thomas Baxter and Ruby West.
During the afternoon, event organizers will recognize community members. Kristine Halasz of Alfred Vail Elementary School will be honored as the 2025 Classroom Cultivator of the Year. Additional awards will go to Youth Volunteer of the Year Ryan Johnson and Volunteer of the Year Sandy DeSmedt.
Admission is completely free. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for seating options on the lawn.
Barclays is sponsoring the event.
