Fourth of July fireworks are officially back in NJ this summer! While many towns didn’t plan for fireworks this year because it was unclear how COVID-19 would impact the gatherings, there are still a number of celebrations happening across the Garden State. We’ve put together a list of places you and your family can see 4th of July fireworks in every NJ county. Check out the fireworks happening near you!
Atlantic County
Atlantic City
On Sunday, July 4, Atlantic City is hosting two separate fireworks celebrations. The first display will take place at 9:20 p.m. in the Marina District in the lot between The Borgata and Harrah’s. There is public parking and viewing in Borgata’s north parking lot. It cost $5 for self-parking and $10 for valet.
Then, at 10 p.m. there will be another fireworks celebration on the boardwalk. Fireworks will be shot off from the Tropicana and Steel Pier. You will be able to see these fireworks from the beach or the boardwalk viewing areas.
Margate City
Check out Margate Mother’s Fourth of July fireworks this year on Sunday, July 4! Bring some chairs and blankets because the celebration will take place on the beach at Huntington Avenue starting at 9 p.m. The rain date for this event is Monday, July 5.
Bergen County
Allendale
Allendale is hosting a variety of fun activities on Sunday, July 4 in celebration of Independence Day. Starting at 8:30 a.m. there will be field events at Recreation Park. Later that night, there will be a concert and fireworks at Crestwood Lake starting at 7:30 p.m.
Fair Lawn
Fair Lawn’s 2021 fireworks celebration will be on Thursday, July 1 in Memorial Park on Berdan Avenue and 1st Street. The display will start between 9 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Families and friends are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Gates will open at 6:45 p.m. and guests will be treated to live music along with refreshments sold by local vendors. To enter, tickets cost $5 for children between 2 and 12 years old, $5 for seniors and $7 for adults. For a family of five, it is $25 total.
Garfield
On Thursday, July 1, Garfield is hosting their Independence Day celebration at 20th Century Field on Elizabeth Street. The event will commence at 7 p.m. with activities and events. Fireworks will light up the sky at dusk.
Edgewater
At Veteran’s Field Park in Edgewater, New Jersey, there will be a firework celebration on Thursday, July 1. Their rain date for the event is Friday, July 2.
Englewood
Englewood’s 2021 Fourth of July celebration will take place on Wednesday, June 30 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Dwight Morrow High School. Live music and fireworks will begin at dusk.
East Rutherford
The Meadowlands will be hosting their Fourth of July celebration at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. The fireworks display will be on both Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4 and will be part of the NJ State Fair celebrations. The fair will be hosting a variety of attractions as well, like rides and other family fun activities.
Lyndhurst
On Friday, July 2, Lyndhurst is hosting fireworks at the Riverside Avenue Little League Fields. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and the Gala Fireworks Display will occur at 8:30 p.m.
Paramus
Paramus’ Independence Day celebration pulls out all of the stops! On Sunday, July 4, you can enjoy your day on the field at Cliff Gennarelli SportsPlex or by driving in with your car. There will also be a gourmet Food Truck Festival with 20 trucks, beer, sangria and margaritas along with fun activities like ax throwing, inflatables, vendors and more. Activities start at 2 p.m. while the fireworks spectacle is at 8:30 p.m.
Ramsey
On Friday, July 2, Ramsey will be hosting their fireworks display at Finch Park at dusk. More information will be posted in the next few days.
Burlington County
Florence
At Water Works Field, near the Florence Municipal Center, Florence Township will be hosting its fireworks celebration on July 10, from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be activities throughout the evening and fireworks to end the night!
Mount Holly
Mount Holly’s Independence Day celebration will be at Iron Works Park on Wollner Drive, Mt. Holly. The event will take place on July 3 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Camden County
Barrington
Barrington is hosting a parade and fireworks display to celebrate the Fourth of July on Friday, July 2. Starting at 6 p.m., there will be a parade throughout the town. Fireworks will begin around dusk at Woodland School, which can be seen from many locations throughout the town.
Camden
On Sunday, July 4, Camden will be having their annual Freedom Festival for Independence Day in Wiggins Park, right on the Camden waterfront. The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Collingswood
At Collingswood High School, there will be a firework display on Sunday, July 4 at dusk. The town will also be hosting activities for children and their families at 2 p.m. Activities will include water games, raft races, and more! At 6:30 p.m. the gates will open for the fireworks viewing field. The rain date for the event is July 5.
Haddon
Haddon Township’s fireworks will be held on Saturday, July 3 at the Haddon Township High School Football Stadium. Admission is free and the fireworks will go off at dusk.
Cape May County
Cape May
There will be two Independence Day events in Cape May this summer. At Congress Hall in Cape May, there will be a fireworks celebration on Saturday, July 3. The day will begin with a parade at 1 p.m. along Beach Avenue. The fireworks will set off at dusk. Then, Lower North Cape May will release fireworks on the bayfront of northern Cape May.
Ocean City
On Sunday, July 4, Ocean City will have fireworks on the Music Pier at 9 p.m. The best view of the fireworks will be from the beach and boardwalk between Fifth and 14th Street.
Sea Isle
Sea Isle’s fireworks for the Fourth of July will be on Sunday, July 4 at 9 p.m Fireworks will be shot off from an ocean barge, able to be seen from 50th Street Beach.
Stone Harbor
From Stone Harbor’s beachfront, you will be able to see the sky light up with fireworks at dusk.
Wildwood
Boardwalk fireworks will be in Wildwood on Friday, July 2 to celebrate Independence Day this year. The event will kick off around 10 p.m. and can be seen from the beachfront and the Wildwood Boardwalk.
Essex County
Verona
Verona’s Fourth of July celebration will be on Wednesday, June 30 at the Verona Community Center. The rain date for the event is July 1.
Fairfield
Independence Day events will be on June 30 in Fairfield at the Recreation Complex. Family fun activities and DJ entertainment will begin at 5:30 p.m. The fireworks celebration will begin at dusk.
Bloomfield
On Thursday, July 1, there will be a Fourth of July celebration at Brookdale Park sponsored by Essex County Parks. There also will be a variety of entertainment events. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
Cedar Grove
Celebrating the Fourth of July at Cedar Grove is a festival of events on Thursday, July 1. At Panther Park, Cedar Grove is hosting entertainment, a DJ, balloon artists, crafts, and refreshments. Their fireworks show will begin at dusk and can be viewed from the park area.
Randolph
Randolph’s Freedom Festival will be from July 1 to July 3. There will be food trucks, vendors, music, carnival rides, fireworks, and much more!
Millburn & Short Hills
In Millburn and Short Hills, there will be a number of Fourth of July activities on Sunday, July 4 at Millburn High School. At 9 a.m. there will be a flag raising. In the afternoon, there will be more family fun with a magician, art, scavenger hunts and more! Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
West Orange
At West Orange High School, there will be an Independence Day celebration on Sunday, July 4. The day will kick off with a Food Truck Festival held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. when the firework show begins.
Gloucester County
Washington
In Washington Township, see their amazing firework display on Sunday, July 4. The event will be held at Washington Township High School and activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will go off at dusk.
Woodbury
At the Woodbury High School Stadium, see their Fourth of July fireworks on July 3. Gates open at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at dusk.
Hudson County
Jersey City
See the largest fireworks display in the State of New Jersey in Jersey City this summer! On July 4, Jersey City will be hosting their Freedom and Fireworks event on the waterfront. The show begins after sunset and fireworks are launched from barges with the NYC skyline as the backdrop.
Mercer County
Lawrenceville
Check out Rider University’s fireworks display on Thursday, July 1. The event will be held from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Hamilton
Hamilton Township is hosting an Independence Day celebration this year on Friday, July 2 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will feature a concert from The Heartbeats to kick off the firework festivities in Veterans Park. The fireworks display will begin around 9:30 p.m. Enjoy food, music and fun with your family!
West Windsor
The West Windsor fireworks celebration will take place on Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4. They will take place as part of the L.E.A.D. Fest State Fair, which will run from July 1 to July 11 at Mercer County Park.
Middlesex County
Carteret
On Saturday, July 3 at 8 p.m., Carteret’s 4th of July festivities will begin. Located at the town’s beautiful Waterfront park at 200 Middlesex Avenue, there will be live music, food vendors, games, a DJ and rides for the entire family. Fireworks will go off at dusk.
Cranbury
Independence Day will be celebrated on Monday, July 5 in Cranbury, N.J. Located in Village Park, events will be taking place all day up until the fireworks display at dusk.
Woodbridge
On July 2 at 4 p.m., Woodbridge’s 4th of July fireworks celebration will commence. Gates will open at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park on the Sewaren waterfront with fireworks at dusk.
Highland Park
There might be a lack of music and food vendors this year in Donaldson Park, but Highland Park will still have their fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July. The fireworks will begin promptly at 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 1.
Milltown
Milltown is going all out this 4th of July with festivities like a fishing derby, parade, duck race, a concert and fireworks. Events begin at 9 a.m. and fireworks will occur in the evening.
East Brunswick
At 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 4, East Brunswick’s fireworks display will be seen from Dideriksen Park, Heavenly Farms Park and the Middlesex County Fairgrounds. Community members recommend that you pack a snack and stake out your spot for the perfect view early in the night!
Monmouth County
Aberdeen
Aberdeen is hosting its Fourth of July celebration on Friday, July 2 with food trucks, activities and fireworks. The event begins at 6 p.m. and fireworks start at 9:30 p.m to end the celebration.
Atlantic Highlands
The Atlantic Highlands Harbor will light off fireworks on Friday, July 2 at 9:45 p.m. The rain date is July 3.
Freehold
The 4th of July celebration in Freehold will be on July 10 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will feature fireworks at Michael J. Tighe Park.
Hazlet
On Saturday, July 3, Hazlet will be hosting their fireworks display at Veterans Park beginning at dusk. The rain date for the event is July 5.
Manasquan
Friday, July 2 is when Manasquan will host their 4th of July celebration this year. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. with a bike parade and live music. Fireworks will be at dusk and the event will end by 11 p.m.
Matawan
Matawan Borough is having its Fourth of July fireworks at Ravine Drive Bridge and Lake Lefferts Park on Friday, July 2 at dusk. The rain date for the event is July 9.
Morris County
Mount Arlington
There will be fireworks at Lake Hopatcong at 9 p.m. in Mount Arlington on Sunday, July 4. The rain date for the Independence Day event will be July 10.
Ocean County
Barnegat
At Barnegat High School there will be a 4th of July fireworks display on Friday, July 2. At dark, the fireworks display will commence, with a rain date on Monday, July 5.
Beachwood
Fourth of July in Beachwood, NJ involves fireworks and other family fun events! On Sunday, July 4, there will be beach activities, prize giveaways, and a scavenger hunt starting at 5 p.m. Don’t miss the fireworks at dusk, because the town is planning an even grander finale this year since these are their first fireworks since the pandemic.
Brick
Brick SummerFest is happening this year in conjunction with the town’s 4th of July celebration! At Windward Beach Park on Princeton Avenue, live music will fill the air at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 1 and fireworks will commence at dusk.
Jackson
Jackson Township will be having two sets of Independence Day celebrations this year. To start, the annual Six Flags Great Adventure July 4th Fest will feature fireworks at dusk from July 2 to the fourth.
Along with the Six Flags event, Jackson Township will be hosting their own local fireworks display this year as well. On July 10, check out music, food trucks, and fireworks in Johnson Park from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The night will end with a fireworks show at dusk!
Lakewood
Independence Day will be celebrated in Lakewood on July 3 at 9:15 p.m. Fireworks will be launched from Jeffco Stadium in NJ and everyone within a mile radius should be able to see them light up the sky.
Lavallette
The Lavallette Fourth of July celebration will be at the Lavallette Gazebo on Sunday, July 4 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Point Pleasant
On Sunday, July 4, Point Pleasant will host a fireworks celebration for Independence Day at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk.
Seaside Heights
At the Carousel Pavilion on The Classic American Boardwalk in Seaside Heights, there will be a fireworks display to celebrate the Fourth of July. The event will be on Friday, July 1 and start at 6 p.m.
Passaic County
Clifton
On Sunday, July 4, Clifton will be hosting their Fourth of July celebration in Main Memorial Park from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Come and see the fireworks display at dusk and enjoy other family fun activities earlier in the day.
Little Falls
At Yogi Berra Stadium, home to the New Jersey Jackals minor league baseball team, Little Falls will be having their Fourth of July celebration on July 3.
Somerset County
Bridgewater
The Somerset Patriots will be hosting their Independence Day fireworks next week in Bridgewater. On Tuesday, July 6, Friday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10 there will be fireworks in the park!
Franklin
Franklin, NJ will celebrate the 4th of July with a fireworks display on Friday, July 2 at the Municipal Complex. There will be family activities, live music and more leading up to the fireworks show at dusk.
North Plainfield
On Saturday, July 10, North Plainfield will have fireworks and a concert to celebrate Independence Day. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and the fireworks will be at dusk.
Spotswood and Helmetta
On July 3, there will be a 4th of July parade at 2 p.m. in Spotswood ending at Helmetta Borough Hall. The Independence Day celebration will end at the Helmetta Lake Pavilion with family events, food and drink, music and fireworks. Festivities at the pavilion begin at 6:30 p.m.
Sussex County
Sparta
On Saturday, July 3, Lake Mohawk Country Club is hosting a fireworks show from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in Sparta.
Union County
Clark
Clark’s fireworks celebration will take place at Arthur L. Johnson High School on Sunday, July 4 from 9:15 p.m to 10 p.m.
Summit
Summit is hosting an abundance of Independence Day festivities this Sunday, July 4. The day begins with rides, activities, and food trucks at 12 p.m. After, there is the children’s bike decorating parade at 12:15 p.m. Following, there will be live music and then, finally, the Grand Fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
Warren County
Blairstown
On July 3, Blairstown is hosting its 4th of July celebration at North Warren Regional High School at 9 p.m. The rain date for the event is July 5.
BONUS: Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks in NYC
Everyone’s favorite Fourth of July celebration is back this year and is promised to be grander than ever! Public viewing locations are able to see the show from elevated portions of FDR Drive in Manhattan if you are vaccinated. The Macy’s fireworks may be seen from New Jersey’s Hudson River cities such as Jersey City and Hoboken, specifically Piers A or C and Liberty State Park. Viewing from NJ is not a guarantee.
