This 180-acre farm in the Appalachian foothills is a lovely spot for a wedding that feels laid-back and connected to nature. You can get married on the Great Lawn with the hills around you, in the Orchard with fruit trees and a tractor hayride for guests, or inside the old Barn if you want something a bit cozier. The food comes straight from the farm, and the staff picks fresh flowers from the gardens each morning. At the end of the night, people can hang by the fire with s’mores or flatbreads. The farm works for smaller weddings of around 50 guests or larger celebrations of up to 175, and the whole place is all yours for the day. Already known for their refined farm dinners, The Farm at Glenwood Mountain is a Sussex County venue that should be at the top of your list.

Perona Farms has been around for more than a century, and it’s still one of the most popular wedding spots in northern New Jersey. What makes it stand out is that you actually get three different spaces to choose from. The Barn is rustic and cozy, good if you want that classic country feel. The Reserve is a little more polished with a garden area and a roof that opens and closes depending on the weather. The Refinery feels more like an industrial loft, with brick walls and steel all around. There is a terrace right outside, so people can move in and out without leaving the party. The whole place is pretty big. You have gardens, patios, an orchard, even a lake. Some weddings here are very small with only a few dozen guests while others bring in close to 300.
