Six Flags Great Adventure’s Fright Fest is back with two new attractions, JASON: Blood Reign and Final Destination: Death’s Playground, plus expanded Thursday night schedule. Season passholders can bring a friend for free on select Thursdays.

Each Halloween season, Six Flags Great Adventure welcomes thousands from all over for Fright Fest, and this year, the scare-filled event comes with an expanded schedule.

Fright Fest is adding four consecutive Thursday nights—October 8, 15, 22, and 29—at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. That means four additional nights to get your Halloween fix in before Fright Fest packs up shop for the year. To add to the expanded fun, season passholders can bring a friend for free on select Thursdays to join the experience.

“Fright Fest is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and adding Thursday nights gives guests even more opportunities to experience everything they love about Halloween at Great Adventure,” said Six Flags Great Adventure’s Director of Sales & Marketing Ryan Eldredge. “Whether you’re tackling haunted attractions, enjoying your favorite coasters after dark or bringing a friend to experience Fright Fest for the first time, Thursday nights are the perfect way to kick off a fall weekend.”

As always, Great Adventure looks for new ways to bring the terror to park goers. New this year are two attractions that are bound to terrify, including JASON: Blood Reign, a Friday the 13th-themed adventure that puts you directly in the sights of one of film’s most feared slashers, and Final Destination: Death’s Playground, a haunted maze where one wrong step can be the difference between life and death.

And there’s plenty more where that came from. More haunted mazes, scare zones, and live spooky performances. Plus: nighttime roller coasters—you’re at Six Flags, after all.

Looking to immerse yourself in one of New Jersey’s most storied Halloween events? Thursday nights could be a good way to get your scares in before the weekend crowds arrive.
