Three individuals were arrested Wednesday, November 6, following a months-long investigation into a large-scale drug operation. The arrests occurred after the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force executed court-authorized search warrants at residences on Kensington Avenue in Jersey City and Hunterdon Street in Newark.

Authorities seized more than 100 grams of suspected cocaine, over 30 grams of suspected heroin, and various prescription drugs during the searches.

Erroll Allen, 52, of Jersey City, faces charges including operating a controlled substance production facility, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of heroin, and possession of prescription drugs, such as Viagra. Officers arrested him at a home on Kensington Avenue. He remains at the Hudson County Correctional Facility, pending his first court appearance.

Alex Darby, 52, of Newark, faces charges related to drug production, distribution, and hindering apprehension. Officers arrested him on Hunterdon Street in Newark, and he now resides at the Essex County Correctional Facility.

Brandon Thomas, 40, of Branchburg, also faces similar charges for his involvement in the operation. Officers arrested him on Hunterdon Street in Newark. He now remains at the Essex County Correctional Facility, awaiting his first court appearance.

These arrests demonstrate the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office’s commitment to combating illegal narcotics distribution. Prosecutor Esther Suarez praised the Narcotics Task Force for its efforts, along with assistance from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Police Department. The operation contributes to a broader initiative aimed at improving public safety throughout the region.

The charges are merely accusations, and the defendants remain presumed innocent until proven guilty.
