Why Listeria is Dangerous

Listeria can cause serious infections and illnesses. Older adults, pregnant women, young children, and people with weakened immune systems face the highest risk of serious illness when coming into contact with Listeria.

Symptoms may include fever, headache, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. In severe cases, the infection can be life-threatening.
