Dutch’s Sandwich Shop—a popular Montclair-based sandwich joint—will open its third location in Jersey City later this year.
Dutch’s first sprang onto the scene in 2023 when they brought their inventive sandwich concept to Montclair. The store—situated along a bustling Church Street—quickly garnered local fame for its outside-the-box sandwiches, quality-first approach, and their highly acclaimed take on a Jersey staple: the Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese, which earned an impressive 9.4 score fromNew Jersey sandwich expert Kevin Knissel, AKA @teamtaylornj.
From there, it was no longer just the neighborhood that was hooked. Suddenly, locals and travelers alike were waiting in line to try some of Dutch’s sandwich creations. Everything from fan favorites like The Dutch Caesar (a chicken Caesar wrap) and The Flying Dutchman (chicken cutlet, pastrami, pepper jack, banana peppers, and special sauce on a long roll) to breakfast staples like the Bessie (sausage, egg, and cheese on brioche) and the Lil’ Kimchi (kimchi-fried eggs, cheese, and spicy mayo).

Eventually, word of Dutch’s spread, and a Hoboken location followed in early 2026—which quickly caught on. Now, just a few months later, Dutch’s is announcing a third location in Jersey City—this time with a slightly new concept.
Dutch’s Express will take over the space formerly occupied by Cafe Dolma, as first reported by Hoboken Girl. Owner Amir Kamal says the new shop will have all of the Dutch’s favorites, plus exclusive items tailored specifically to the store.
If it’s anything like Dutch’s other two spots, then Jersey City is in for a treat. Or, a sandwich, rather.
Dutch’s Express will open at 270 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ. There is no set opening date at this time.
