NJ Brewery Uses AI To Create New Beer

Asbury Park Brewery announced the release of a new hazy IPA to their NJ beer lineup. The announcement comes just a few weeks after their reopening at a new location. There’s a catch with the new addition to the catalog—the recipe was written by artificial intelligence.

With the functionality of AI on the rise, it’s easier than ever for the average person to use AI to their advantage. Asbury Park Brewery’s Head Brewer, Chris Vaughn, thought it would be a fun experiment to test out AI’s capabilities by tasking it with writing a recipe for a hazy IPA-style of beer.

To his surprise, the recipe was good. More than good, actually, and it only required minor tweaks to bring it up to par with the rest of the Asbury Park Brewery options. So, Vaughn smoothed out the edges and finalized what he deemed AI-IPA—a six-percent hazy IPA with notes of mango, citrus and hops.

AI-IPA is available now in the Asbury Park Brewery tasting room. The release is indicative of a larger topic, though: AI is here to stay, so why not use it to our best advantage? When used correctly, AI is a useful tool that can help virtually any type of business hop to the next level.

So, if you thought AI was just reserved for the tech space, well, this NJ brewery is showing you why that’s not the case.
