Mr. Wraps in the Digest Lunchbox
We all need lunch on the go sometimes, but that doesn’t mean we want to sacrifice flavor either. Mr. Wraps, who has been serving the city of Hoboken for over 13 years, does just that. Located on 741 Garden Street, this local lunch spot has more than just its namesake. From the obvious wraps, they also have salads, burgers, and even pizzas for commuters to enjoy on the go. This week’s Digest Lunchbox was packed with some of Mr. Wraps favorites, which quickly became some of our favorites too.
Though they are known for their large menu of speciality wraps, Mr. Wraps has something for everyone. From starters like their popular quesadillas, to soups and sides, this neighborhood bistro caters to both the meat and veggies lovers as well. Providing both veggie wraps and wraps stuffed with meats like chicken, steak and turkey, Mr. Wraps knows what they’re doing in the local lunch game.
For our Lunchbox, we were served some of Mr. Wraps classics. Alongside two giant trays of potato and macaroni salad, which were both creamy and delicious, were the giant platter of wraps. Some of our favorites were Buffalo Chicken, tossed in homemade buffalo sauce with lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing in a flour tortilla, and the California Wrap, with hummus, portobello mushrooms, cucumbers, shaved carrots, romaine lettuce and tomatoes with sherry vinaigrette dressing in a tortilla. We tried another veggie option, the Meatless Wrap: with fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, romaine lettuce and red onions, with sherry vinaigrette dressing in a tortilla.
We also tried the classic Tuna wrap, with white meat tuna salad, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and shaved red onions in a flour tortilla, and the tasty Sloppy Joe with roast beef, swiss cheese, homemade coleslaw and russian dressing in a tortilla (you can trade out the roast beef with ham or turkey if you’d like).
