Last year, Smorgasburg made its debut in May at Harborside in Jersey City. This year, the famous outdoor food festival returns to JC, much to the delight of foodies all around the state.
The Rundown
Forty vendors will offer their best dishes and drinks from several cuisine types. As such, Smorgasburg is your one-stop shop to expand your palate with beloved American comfort food, Mexican fare, Asian favorites, and more. Thus, you can enjoy a variety of good eats starting April 2, 2022. Harborside Place at Hudson St. will house this one-of-a-kind event every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Smorgasburg 2022 Updates
Smorgasburg was so popular in 2021 that many patrons were frustrated by long lines waiting for every vendor. Ever the innovating thinkers, Smorgasburg owners have partnered with Uber Eats to combat the long wait times.
Attendees who want to experience the foodie ambiance without waiting in line can place a pickup order via the app by entering Smorgasburg as their address. Then, a notification will indicate when it’s time to pick up from the vendor. This ensures that long lines are no longer your problem. Additionally, the app allows nearby Smorgasburg fans to order delivery to experience the wide array of dishes from the comfort of their own home.
Furthermore, if you need another reason to order via Uber Eats, Smorgasburg is offering $5 off any order of $15+ when you enter code SMORGASBURG.
Food Favorites and Smorgasbar
Vendor lineups change weekly, although some of Smorgasburg’s favorite Jersey City mainstays include Baonanas, Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria, and SmoKING of Meats. Baonanas reinvents the banana pudding with innovative flavors. Carlitos celebrates Mexican and barbecue culture. And SmoKING serves southern barbecue with a Filipino flair. With so many cuisines, one trip to Smorgasburg will have you feeling like a worldly food expert.
However, Smorgasburg Jersey City isn’t solely about the food. Its beer garden counterpart sits a short walk away at 3 2nd St. Located behind the open-air food market, Smorgasbar has an Instagrammable skyline view for you to enjoy.
