Food media site Love Food recently put together a list declaring the best seafood restaurants in each US state.

The Love Food Editors deemed the legendary Dock’s Oyster House in Atlantic City as New Jersey’s best seafood restaurant. Dock’s has been dishing out shucked oysters and the like since opening their doors in the beachside town in 1897. That means that for well over 100 years, locals and tourists alike have flocked to Dock’s for some of the state’s best seafood.
Harry Dougherty opened Dock’s as a family-run restaurant with the mission of serving Atlantic City patrons the highest quality seafood possible. The restaurant remains run by the Dougherty family today, and they still serve many dishes from the day-one menu. Along with the classics, dishes like pecan-crusted salmon, blackened snapper and corn and crab chowder dot the menu.
While the city around Dock’s Oyster House has changed Immensely in the last century, the core in which the restaurant revolves around has remained essentially the same. That means fresh seafood, excellent hospitality and a commitment to the local community.
