A beloved New Jersey deli has finally unveiled its long-awaited second location—this time in Bergen County. Sparo’s Deli is now open in Ramsey, NJ.
The popular deli has been serving Upper Montclair sandwiches, salads and other prepared goods since partners Adam Rose and Mike Sparacino opened the doors back in 2019. Tracing back their Italian roots, the duo aims to revive family recipes with their own added flair. The upscale sandwich spot utilizes a mix of local and imported ingredients and has been met with much acclaim in the few years it has been open—many ranking it amongst North Jersey’s best delis.
Like the Montclair location, Sparo’s in Ramsey will boast a menu complete with both hot and cold sandwiches—many such as the Angry Lou and the Mama Ree, named after members of the founders’ families. In addition to being a fast-casual spot to grab a sandwich on the go, Sparo’s Deli Ramsey offers dine-in as well as catering options. Guests can also grab chicken and eggplant cutlets, salads and other prepared goods to take home. This brings a well-versed dining option to downtown Ramsey. The deli will also offer a student special, which consists of a six-inch sub, chips and a drink at a discounted price.
Sparo’s Deli prides itself on using quality, local ingredients by working with nearby vendors and brands.
The popular deli is also now available in Newark International Airport at the newly renovated Garden State Market in the Terminal A Central Rotunda. The Sparo’s grab-and-go kiosk offers travelers an opportunity to enjoy high quality, Italian-American favorites while they navigate the bustling EWR terminal.
Sparo’s Deli and Catering has been a local favorite since opening its flagship store in 2019. Now, with the addition of another brick-and-mortar store, as well as a kiosk in Newark Airport, the beloved deli is expanding its reach.
